Who we are

datatomcp is operated by Killian Helf, The Hague, the Netherlands. Contact: hello@datatomcp.com.

What we collect

  • Account data: your email address, and your name and profile picture if you sign in with Google or GitHub.
  • Your datasets: the files you upload, the CSV links you add, and the Google Sheets you choose in Google's file picker. We only access the specific sheets you pick, not the rest of your Google Drive.
  • Usage data: how many queries you run, when, and how many rows they return, so we can enforce plan limits. We do not log the contents of query results.
  • Waitlist: if you join the waitlist, your email address and the date you joined.
  • Billing: handled by our payment provider Polar, who acts as merchant of record. We do not see or store your card details.

How we use it

  • To run the service: store your datasets and answer queries from you, your API keys, and the AI tools you connect.
  • To send account emails (sign-in links, limit warnings, sync failures) and, if you joined the waitlist, one email when your access is ready.
  • We do not use your data to train AI models, we do not send your datasets to AI providers, and we do not sell data.

When you connect an AI tool (for example Claude or ChatGPT), that tool receives the query results it asks for. What it does with them is governed by that provider's terms.

Google user data

If you connect Google, we request access only to your basic profile (to sign you in) and to the individual files you select (the drive.file scope). We read those spreadsheets to import and refresh your datasets, and for nothing else. We do not use Google user data for advertising or to train AI models, and we do not transfer it to third parties except as needed to provide the service. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can revoke access at any time from your Google account settings.

Where data is stored

Datasets and account data are stored on servers in the European Union. Backups are stored with Cloudflare R2 in the EU.

Service providers

  • Contabo (server hosting, EU)
  • Cloudflare (website hosting, DNS, backups)
  • Resend (transactional email)
  • Polar (payments, merchant of record)
  • Google and GitHub (sign-in, and Google Sheets access when you choose it)

Retention and deletion

Deleting a dataset removes its stored files. Deleting your account removes your datasets and account data; backups containing them expire within 30 days. Waitlist emails are deleted on request or when the waitlist closes.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to its processing, by emailing hello@datatomcp.com. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
